What to expect in a session

The first meeting with your personal trainer will take up to an hour and is devoted to assessing your fitness level, exercise and health history and goals. Be prepared to step on the scales, have your measurements taken and answer specific questions about what you want to achieve. You will leave this meeting with a clear understanding of the commitment you will need to make if you are to achieve your goals.

You will then meet with your personal trainer at least once a week for 30 minutes to one hour, depending on your individual requirements as discussed in your first meeting. Each personal training session is designed specifically for you. It will include activities such as fitness, strength and flexibility training aimed at moving you closer to your goals. Working with a personal trainer enables you to get more out of every workout than you would exercising alone. You can confidently do that little bit extra, knowing that they are checking your technique and intensity and modifying the session in response to what they see at any given moment.

Most sessions finish with setting goals and a plan of action for the coming week, a warm-down and stretches.

Do I need a Personal Trainer?

Working with a Personal Trainer may be useful if:

Small Group Personal Training

Wear loose comfortable clothing, supportive exercise shoes, bring a towel and some water.
